I’ve been volunteering near the Florida Everglades and have made a few trips there. If you’re scared of alligators, don’t go. I saw about 100 within the first few minutes that I was there, as well as numerous birds, turtles, and insects. The national park is huge and was damaged in the hurricanes during the summer of 2005. Below I took a picture trying to make it look like I was holding the alligator. It didn’t work so well.
