I lived just 2 blocks from Bondi Beach in Sydney, Australia. What a beautiful place! Bondi had a strange mix of young backpackers, rich people, and surfers. I actually went to the beach more at night than during the day. It was definitely strange going to the beach on Christmas and I actually caught the end of a Pretty Boy Floyd concert at New Years Eve. My shared 3 bedroom apartment cost $300/week Australian per room. I think I got screwed and should have checked message boards.
