I spent a few nights in Athens after the 2004 Olympic games. The atmosphere was great and everybody was friendly. In fact the Special Olympics were going on. The food was great; I love the bell peppers with rice and gyros, and there is plenty of history. The air is very dry and the buildings are white or light colored. Dogs like this were lying everywhere in Athens. I heard that there were more before the Olympics.
