I made a 4 day trip to London. I found a flight from Krakow that was actually cheaper than getting to the airport. I stayed with a friend in a tiny apartment near Paddington. He had been working for a month, but hadn’t been paid yet so he was eating cheese sandwiches. I slept in a 2 foot space between a couple of beds. London was actually much cheaper than I expected. Food was cheap and beer wasn’t too expensive. They had microwave dinners at grocery stores, so I took advantage of that. I also went to a party across town where we ate bowl after bowl of chili.
This is the Lloyds of London building. It’s very futuristic.
