I took an overnight train from Krakow to Prague in November. The train ride was smooth and I slept great. I have heard rumors of the trains being dangerous but it was fine. There was a guard to the sleeping cabins and only people with tickets could enter.
Prague is a magical city. A fog filled the air making the castles and architecture much more dramatic. There were many tourists from Germany and England. Airfares are so cheap that somebody may actually spend less by going to Prague than they would at home. Many Czech people are starting to resent it’s popularity. Often groups of drunken Brits would cause trouble, bragging how things were cheap in Prague.
I went to Prague with Ian and stayed with this Czech girl. She had a nice apartment on the outskirts of town. She was studying at a university in Prague and had lived in Canada.
